Amr Omar, a born and raised Texan, moved to Atlanta in 2011 and has been in love with the city and community ever since. Since coming to Atlanta, Amr has served as the Secretary and then President for the Atlanta Muslim Young Professionals (AMYP), co-leads the Gwinnett Islamic Circle (GIC) Boys Youth Group, and has been active with the Madina Institute community. Amr especially enjoys helping with initiatives that bring organizations, mosques, and different communities together. Amr graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Chemical Engineering and has been working as an engineer in Atlanta since. He enjoys working with youth, shedding light on the awesomeness of Atlanta Muslims, long distance running and aspires to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
