With the constant anti-immigration rhetoric affecting different communities across the United States (Georgia included) the DACA and DAPA Supreme Court decisions have been highly anticipated. With the vote coming to a stalemate on a 4-4 decision, the lower court’s decision was maintained, thus blocking the expansion of DACA and the implementation of DAPA.
On ‘Closer Look with Rose Scott and Jim Burress,’ an NPR radio program, Azadeh Shahshahani, the legal and advocacy director of Project South and a well known name and face to the Muslim Community, discussed what the implications of these rulings would mean for thousands of Georgians.
