Darul Uloom New York, founded in 1997, aimed to create an Institution in which our children can be educated with true Islamic values in a humble Islamic environment. Traditional Islamic values coupled with a firm background in secular education and upbringing in order to produce the Muslim scholars of the future. Although raising an Allah Fearing Muslim generation in this non-Muslim society is a struggle, and is the responsibility of each one of us. Since our establishment, we have attracted approximately 350 students from all over the country.
From the 205 currently enrolled students, 56 reside on campus, taking benefit of our supervised boarding facilities. We presently have 7 teachers for Hafiz, 3 for Nazra, and 10 teachers for Alim Course.
Furthermore, about 30 students have graduated from our Alim course in order to continue their studies abroad. Approximately 10 of these students have become certified scholars of Islam and are currently engaged in facilitating Islam all over the country. • From the 205 currently enrolled students, approximately 56 reside in campus; taking benefit of our supervised boarding facilities. Simultaneously, along with the Hifz-ul-Quran and Aalim courses, we provide tutoring of required academic subjects from the 4th grade to the 10th grade levels based on NYC home schooling standards. The subjects of Math, English, Science, and Social studies are taught by Muslim teachers. We also have GED and SAT preparation course and tutoring available for students above the 10th grade level. By providing and Islamic environment, we try to ensure that each student is given the opportunity to achieve his full potential and more importantly be in an atmosphere where he can safeguard his Islamic Identity.
