The Atlantic Institute, a non-profit organization in Atlanta has partnered with the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College to bringa three-day Peace Builders Conference titled Fostering Dialogues in Education, Ethics and Nonviolent Peacebuilding: Global, Social & Religious Movements Today.
Over the duration of this conference, featured academics from around the world will come together to speak on panels and present their papers covering a wide range of topics including Peace & Conflict Studies; Ideas & Legacies; Debates on Global Ethics, Morality & Nonviolence; and many more!
Day 1 of this conference includes:
Opening Panel - 12pm - 1:30pm Peace & Conflict Studies: Religion, Politics & Diplomacy
Featuring: Chairs Gregory Hall, Morehouse College & Mustafa Sahin, Atlantic Institute; Professors presenting: John Tures, LaGrange College, Sait Yavuz, University of Houston, Nurdin Kaparov, Osmania University, India, & Loyd Allen, Mercer University
From 3pm - 5pm there will be a Peace Studies Lecture titled Transcending Security for Sustainable Peace by Dr. Han Park, The University of Georgia.
