Religion, Faith & Spirituality in Islam Six Week lecture series.
This program is taught by Dr. Mustafa Sahin, Director of Academic Affairs of Atlantic Institute and is designed to introduce participants to the major issues in the history of Islam, one of the major Abrahamic religions. It is intended as a series of introductory lectures on major themes in the history of Muslim societies and how they relate to contemporary events. No prior knowledge of Islam is required. This program is open to public but registration is required.
Suggested Book: “Vision of Islam” by Sachiko Murata and William Chittick. Paragon House.
Fees: Participation fee for adults is $50 (for 6 weeks). Fee for College and High School students is $25. Please write checks payable to the Atlantic Institute. Light refreshments will be served.
