Small Town, Big World: Lilburn International Festival 2015 on September 12 will be bigger and better than ever. Lilburn City Park will be transformed into a mini global venue. Beginning at 10 am with the Parade of Flags, attendees will celebrate our world of cultures while carrying 80+ international flags around the festival field. We will then hear welcoming comments by world diplomats, state and local officials followed by entertainers who will wow and energize you with dance and music. A variety of food vendors will tantalize your taste buds with international and traditional foods while exhibitors from community youth organizations, churches, nonprofits, businesses, and schools provide information, crafts, games and demonstrations. A free children's play area and "make-it, take-it" by Home Depot will entertain the youngsters. Presenting Sponsor Nam Dae Mum will be back with samples of fruits and vegetables from around the world. Shuttles will be provided to the park from First Baptist Lilburn Church on Hwy. 29. Al-Falah Academy, a Pre-K-to-High School Islamic full-time school, will have a large prsence with cultural food from the Muslim world, henna, and calligraphy. The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta will have a booth offering information.
