1000 Mile Journey: As Dr. King's fight for fair housing in Chicago neared it's end, he said it was "a first step in a thousand-mile-journey, but an important step." Join us as we inspire the continuance that 1,000 mile journey for change and equality through an evening of dynamic artistic performances.

CommUNITY Café will take place Saturday, April 23, 2016. Social Hour begins at 6:00 pm, Show starts at 7:00 pm

CommUNITY Café is a production of socially conscious artists that connects a diverse array of communities and celebrates the rich storytelling, music, movement and visual art of urban and folk cultures throughout the world. The production is infused with the themes of IMAN’s organizing campaigns, while guests can also network and socialize during the pre-show Social Hour. CommUNITY Café provides a platform for community members to utilize artistic expression as a tool for cross-cultural dialogue, civic engagement and social change.
