This event was originally created by Gwinnett Islamic Circle.
Gwinnett Islamic Center (GIC) would like to invite you to our next Adopt-A-Road Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Campaign! We had a great community turnout from our last event and would like to continue to help our local community.
The following three groups each have an assigned clean-up route: GIC Youth Girls (Team Leaders: Sisters Zahra Murtaza/Umber Hanief) GIC Youth Boys (Team Leaders: Brothers Ahmed Salim/Amr Omar), and the newly formed GIC Community Group (Team Lead Hanif Omar).
The Adopt-a-Road litter prevention initiative, sponsored by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and Gwinnett County Department of Transportation, enables citizens to show their pride in Gwinnett and safely reduce the amount of unsightly trash and illegal signage alongside county roadways. Unkempt communities are more likely to have increased crime, decreased economic growth and a decline in quality of life. The litter prevention efforts of the Adopt-a-Road program directly benefit the community through litter prevention, greater civic involvement, and area beautification.
This event is open for all adults and youth (aged 12+) to have an opportunity to give back to the community. Alhumdulilah this is our second year in being involved with Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and helping to clean up around the GIC area.
All cleaning tools and supplies will be provided. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate attire. Please share and invite others to join this great campaign to benefit our Community!
