ALSO,
In the spirit of giving, we are joining Helping the Community Eid Toy Drive with a Bone Marrow drive for a little girl named Kenza, who is in need of a transplant. It is a quick and easy procedure to get tested and you will be helping in saving a life.
Just for attending you can enter your name to win one of many raffle prizes, along with recieve many free giveaways!
We are calling on all of you to come and show your support for Baby Kenza in her fight against AML Leukemia by registering as a Bone Marrow Donor. Registering and getting swabbed takes less than 4 minutes. PLEASE stop by and invite your friends to attend too. A few minutes on your day off could save a life!
Kenza's Story:
Kenza is a smiley, happy 11 month old baby. While being checked out after a fall, her parents asked the doctor to look at a swollen lymph node which led to a life-changing diagnosis: Kenza has leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant. Without a matching donor in her family, Kenza must rely on a total stranger to provide a second chance at life. Kenza's parents are sharing her story in hopes of finding Kenza's donor while raising awareness with ethnic minorities about this life-saving opportunity. Heritage matters when it comes to finding a matching donor. Only 3% of the database shares Kenza's South Asian heritage so we need your help!
Registrants at drives like this one get processed into the database more quickly, and Kenza may need a transplant in 6 weeks! But if you can't make it to the drive, order a free kit online: www.deletebloodcancer.org ! There is SOMETHING that we can ALL do for Kenza and the other 13,999 patients searching for donors! #getswabbed #deletebloodcancer
Already a registered donor? Come out and show your support by making a donation!
