Early teen years are the most crucial in shaping identity. They are often called the “golden years”. As Muslims, we have big hopes for the future, for a return to a golden age. For this to happen, our young generation must be prepared to lead.
A group of brothers and sisters in the Metro Atlanta Area has been working on a youth camp for boys and girls ages 10-14 that seeks to instill and plant seeds for spiritual growth in each camper, connect them with Allah’s creation, allow them to enjoy and benefit from the company of inspiring mentors, and build love and respect for each other - all together preparing the next generation for success in this world and the next.
This camp will be filled with activities designed and planned specifically towards these aspirations, and promises to be loads of fun for the campers. From swimming the lake with friends, to reading Quran under the moonlight, to eating BBQ while listening to the words of a mentor, to playing team building games in the outdoors, the experiences and opportunities these three days offer the campers will be invaluable.
Atlanta’s all new Muslim youth camp will be held at FDR State Park March 31st - April 2nd.Speakers and Mentors include Sh. Abdullah Jaber of Masjid Omar, and Matib Ahmad, a powerful young speaker from the Atlanta Area.
Registration is $140 per camper, but you can recieve a $40 discount if you sign up before Jan. 31st. This includes all food, lodging, and activities. See flyer for details. Seats are limited. Register now at youthcamp.yapsody.com
