Masjid Al-Mu’minun’ s 3rd annual fundraising banquet is going to be on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 5-10 pm. This year’s theme is: “Growing Community Life with Guidance of the past, the present and into the Future”. The awards banquet will give recognition to leaders within our community who have made significant social contributions towards the betterment of community. The Imam W. D. Mohammed Lifetime Achievement Award has been added this year. Imam W. D. Mohammed will be the first recipient of this award posthumously. There is also the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award. Imam Siraj Waahaj, Imam Dr. Nasir Ahmad are the featured speakers at the event.   Azeem Muhammad the comedian from "Allah Made Me Funny" fame will be providing a comedy show during this event. Tickets for this events are $50 for general admission.  $40 for seniors.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the cost of developing the land that the masjid owns, 1078 Hank Aaron Drive, SW 30315. Some of the suggested possible uses of the property include the development of a community grocery store, a senior living complex, retail space and a child care development center – we are not just building a Masjid.
