Job Description

Hifz teacher shall be responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops in each student skills of memorization, tajweed rules and retention of memorization using traditional hifz approach of sabaq, Sabaqi and manzil. He/she also shall develop in each student an appreciation of the language of the Qur’an and motivates students to excel with memorization and practice the commands contained in the Qur’an and ahadith.

Requirement:

1. Hafiz-ul-Quran – has formally completed memorization of the entire Qur’an and in case of Hafiz led taraveah prayers for a few years.
2. Excellent understanding of Tajweed rules.
3. Excellent recitation of Qur’an applying appropriate tajweed rules.
4. Experience in United States teaching students of Hifz-ul-Qur’an using the traditional method of Sabaq (new lesson), sabaqi (recent memorization) and Manzil (memorized).
5. A commitment to encourage and foster desire to memorize the Qur’an.
6. A commitment to quality and rigor.
